Learning through story, play and wonder
Reading, writing and number sense are built through story, song and hands-on discovery. Mornings are devoted to literacy and mathematics in small groups, while afternoons open into science, art, music and time outdoors in the school garden.
What children learn
Children meet Latin and Greek roots alongside a modern language, study the natural world and begin to practise the habits of discussion: listening, asking and building on one another’s ideas.
Every child has a class teacher who stays with them for two years, building a trusting relationship. Classes are capped at sixteen, so every voice is heard and every child is known.
